Wizkid, Tems win Best Collaboration at 2021 Soul Train Awards
Nigerian singers, Ayodeji ”Wizkid” Balogun and Temilade ”Tems” Openiyi have jointly won an award at the 2021 BET Soul Train Awards.
The music stars won Collaboration of the Year for their smash hit song, Essence. The show was held on Sunday, November 28 2021.
BET Soul Train Awards is an annual music award show that rewards the best of the best in African-American culture music and entertainment.
Wiz and Tems were each nominated for 5 awards respectively at the 2021 Soul Train Awards.
Wizkid was nominated for Album of the Year with Made in Lagos while Tems was nominated for the Best New Artist award.
The duo were also jointly nominated for the Song of The Year, Video of The Year, The Ashford and Simpson songwriter’s award, and Best Collaboration for Essence, which they eventually won.
