Canelo Alvarez will defend his WBA light-heavyweight title against Dmitry Bivol on May 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. With -525 odds, Alvarez is the big favorite, while Bivol is the underdog at +390.
Alvarez is noted for his ability to exploit gaps in his opponents’ guards while dodging punches by moving his head and body. He’s also known for his devastating body punches.

Bivol was a successful amateur, winning two junior (U-17) world titles and a bronze medal in the middleweight event at the 2008 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.
Bivol won the Russian national amateur boxing championships in light heavyweight in 2012 and 2014. He has a 268–15 amateur record.
