What Was Ukraines Eurovision Song? Did Ukraine Win Eurovision Because Of Russia?

What Was Ukraines Eurovision Song – Kalush Orchestra, a Ukrainian folk-rap group, performed the song “Stefania” at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy.

Ukraine took top place in a competition with 25 other countries. Ukraine will win the competition for the third time. The annual song contest in 2004 and 2016 were both victories.

The invasion inspired the song “Stefania.”

Kalush Orchestra’s leader, Oleh Psiuk, said:

“When the war broke out, it began to take on new meanings, as many people mistook Ukraine for the mother in the song, or grew emotional thinking about their moms.” That is why I am hoping that Europeans would enjoy this song as well.”

Did Ukraine Win Eurovision Because Of Russia?

It is unclear whether Ukraine won the competition as a result of the Russian invasion.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, however, Ukraine received widespread backing from the rest of the continent.

Because of the invasion, Russia was excluded from this year’s Eurovision contest.

“I believe that Europe’s decision to exclude Russia from Eurovision is a very lovely gesture. Because of the information war, there may be some Russians who are unaware of what is going on. This way, they’ll notice something’s wrong,” stated Kalush frontman Oleh Psiuk.
