“What I learned from my shattered marriage” – Damilola Adegbite, Nollywood actress

Damilola Adegbite, a stunning Nollywood actress, has spoken out about her failed marriage to Chris Attoh, a colleague and father of her baby.

The separated couple married in February 2015 after dating, working together on a film, but split two years later.

The actress revealed the events that led to their marriage falling apart in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

“It didn’t work,” says the narrator. That encounter taught me a valuable lesson: love alone is insufficient. Love is one of the qualities that you need when you meet someone and want to spend the rest of your life with them, but it isn’t the only one.”

She also made a distinction between the common marital mentality and her own, stating that it does not fit into her lifestyle.

A failing marriage, she claims, is not the tragedy that many portray it to be. God does not preside over every marriage. She also reflected on how she had struggled and prayed hard right up until the end of the marriage, knowing that she had done her best.
