Two die, two injured in ex-president Jonathan’s convoy accident

On Wednesday, a car in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy was involved in a horrific accident.

Two people are claimed to have perished in the collision, while two police officers are said to have been critically injured.

One of the automobiles over-sped and collided with another, according to our source.

Around 4:30 p.m., an accident occurred along Bill Clinton Drive in the Federal Capital Territory.

The accident occurred while the former president was traveling from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his residence in Abuja, according to reports.

According to reports, the former president was unharmed, while others who were injured were taken to the National Hospital.

Bisi Kazeem, the Federal Road Safety Commission Corps Public Education Officer, confirmed the incident when contacted.

Those who were rushed to the hospital, on the other hand, are responding to treatment, according to him.

“It was his caravan,” Kazeem explained. He was unharmed, and his vehicle was not engaged in the accident. Two of the vehicles in his convoy were killed, while the other two are recovering at the national hospital. The crash, though, included seven vehicles.

The incident was also confirmed by Tayo Haastrup, the Public Relations Officer of the National Hospital in Abuja.

“The former president was not involved; it was one of the convoys,” he explained. We have two of them, and they are both in good shape.”
