Peter Robinson Parents: Meet Miriam Jarvis And Clifford Robinson

Peter Robinson was a Canadian crime writer who was born in Britain on March 17, 1950. He died on October 4, 2022. He is best known for his crime books about Inspector Alan Banks in Yorkshire.

Robinson and his wife, Sheila Halladay, lived in the Beaches neighborhood of Toronto. He sometimes taught crime writing at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies.

He also taught at a number of colleges in Toronto, and from 1992 to 1993, he was the Writer-in-Residence at the University of Windsor. Robinson and his wife had a cottage in Richmond, North Yorkshire, where they would go on vacation. He died on October 4, 2022, when he was 72 years old.

Peter Robinson hasn’t talked much about his family or told the public much about them, so there isn’t much information out there about them.

Robinson got a BA in English Literature with Honors from the University of Leeds. Then, in 1974, he moved to Canada and got an MA in English and creative writing at the University of Windsor, where Joyce Carol Oates was his teacher. He then got a Ph.D. in English at York University in Toronto.
