Nigeria Armed Forces Day: FG orders closure of roads, Federal Secretariat
The Federal Authorities on Tuesday announced preparation for the 2021 Nigeria Armed Forces Day.
The federal government ordered the closure of roads accessing Arcade, the part I, II and III of the Federal Secretariat complexes and the Ministry of International Affairs in Abuja.
Evelyn Ngige, Everlasting Secretary, Workplace of the Head of the Civil Service, introduced the measure in a press release.
The closure could be between 12:00 midday January 14 and 1:00pm January 15.
The celebration will climax with the wreath laying ceremony by President Muhammadu Buhari, senior authorities officers and members of the Diplomatic Corps.
“All officers whose Ministries, Division and Companies positioned inside these workplace complexes are anticipated to shut early on Thursday, and resume late on Friday as specified”, Ngige famous.
The annual occasion honours civil war heroes and those that fought for numerous peace assist wars and inside safety operations.
