Lagos state police command parade 237 clubgoers arrested for violating COVID19 protocols

Lagos state police command in the present day Saturday, January 9 paraded 237 clubgoers who have been arrested for violating COVID19 protocols.
The clubgoers have been arrested on Friday Evening January 8 and Saturday, January 9 within the Surulere and Victoria Island axis of the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, whereas parading them, stated

In continuation of the vow and dedication of the command to implement COVID-19 orders and protocols , the command has not relented on its oars in ensuring that there’s complete compliance with covid-19 orders with a view to decreasing or halting the unfold of the pandemic.

On Friday, eighth January, 2021, throughout an evening operation, that was coordinated and commanded by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, the Command pounced on some deviant night time golf equipment the place 2 hundred and thirty seven (237) violators have been arrested. The golf equipment raided included Lounge 38, Bode Thomas Surulere (85 suspects) and Membership Victoria’s, VI, (152 suspects) whereas six (6) have been arrested for violating the Federal Authorities imposed 12 midnight to 4am curfew within the state .

In complete,  2 hundred and forty three (243) violators have been arrested and are being paraded in the present day.

The Command needs to reiterate its zeal and dedication to due and complete enforcement of COVID-19 protocols and orders together with the Federal Authorities 12 midnight to 4am curfew, in Lagos State as law enforcement officials and males, with the assistance of different safety businesses, will go after and arrest any violators, irrespective of how extremely positioned, and trigger them to face the total wrath of the legislation. ”

Odumosu stated they are going to be charged to court soon.
