La Fonda Sue Honeycutt was born in Pampa, Texas, to Glenn Honeycutt and Elwanda Loan Honeycutt on January 20, 1953. She grew up with nine other siblings.

Truman Honeycutt, Alica May Appleton, Wendell Farris, Bonnie Gail Cross, Terry Honeycutt, Danny Keith, Sandra Pendergrass, Michael Lynn, and Glenda Albus are among Honeycutt’s siblings.

The Fonda Sue Honeycutt graduated from Pampa High School on Harvester Avenue in Pampa, Arizona, in 1971. She rose to popularity, though, after marrying Duane Chapman on April 1, 1972.

The couple went on to have two sons, Duane Lee Chapman II and Leland Blaine Chapman. La Fonda Sue Honeycutt filed for divorce in 1977 after her husband was charged with first-degree murder, and she received custody of their two sons.

La Fonda Sue Honeycutt married for the second time in 1977, to Jim Darnell. Hannah Dawn Darnell, their first child, was born in 1979, and Britney Lynn Darnell, their second child, was born in 1982.

Honeycutt is currently the proud grandma of four children: Leiah Breanna Chapman, Cobie Chapman, Dakota Chapman, and Dylan Chapman.
