Sarah Jane Millican Millican was born in South Shields, England, to Philip D. King and Valerie Prince on May 29, 1975. Her father worked as a mining electrician, and she grew up with her younger sister Victoria King.

Mortimer Comprehensive School, which is now Mortimer Community College, was where Sarah Millican went to school. She worked at an employment center as a civil servant until she was 29 years old. Following her inaugural Edinburgh Festival Fringe production Sarah Millican’s Not Nice, she won the if comedy award for Best Newcomer in 2008.

Sarah Millican is married to Gary Delaney, a fellow stand-up comedian, whom she began seeing in 2006 and married in December 2013. Andrew Millican was her first husband, whom she divorced in 2004.
