Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski Dies in a Car Crash
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, Jackie Walorski, an American politician who represented Indiana’s second congressional district in the US House of Representatives, passed away in an automobile accident on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, close to Nappanee.
Walorski and two other passengers in the SUV were traveling south when it collided head-on with another car, killing both its driver and only occupant.

Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy posted on Twitter on Wednesday, “I share this statement from the Office of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski with a heavy heart.”

Dean Swihart, Jackie’s husband, was recently informed by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s office that Jackie had died in an automobile accident this afternoon.
The statement continues, “She has come home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please remember to pray for and think of her family. At this moment, we won’t say anything else.
The collision is being looked into by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office.
