Hannah Elizabeth Waterman is an English actress. From 2000 to 2004, she played Laura Beale in the BBC soap series EastEnders.
Dennis Waterman and Patricia Maynard, both actors, gave birth to Waterman on July 22, 1975 in London. She attended Saint Felix School in Southwold, Norwich High School for Girls, and Putney High School. She is also a Warwick University graduate.

Waterman was cast as Laura Dunn on the BBC soap drama EastEnders in February 2000. Waterman portrayed an HIV patient on the serial opera in 1997.
Patricia Maynard, Waterman’s mother, played Laura’s mother in a handful of episodes of EastEnders in 2001, while Rula Lenska, Waterman’s one-time stepmother, played Frank Butcher’s girlfriend in the Spain episodes in 2002.
Hannah Waterman married Ricky Groves, a fellow EastEnders star, in 2006. After splitting up in 2010, they divorced in 2014.
