Elizabeth worked as a TV announcer for International Championship Wrestling events. She met Randall Poffo, who wrestled under the ring moniker “Macho Man” Randy Savage, while she was there. They tied the knot in December 1984.
She rose to international prominence as the manager of wrestler “Macho Man” Randy Savage and other wrestlers in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) from 1985 to 1992 and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1996 to 2000.
On May 1, 2003, she died of acute poisoning at the home she shared with wrestler Lex Luger.
