No, Coolio died yesterday in Los Angeles, California, United States, on September 28, 2022. He was 59.

Artis Leon Ivey Jr. was an American rapper, record producer, and actor who went by the stage name Coolio. Coolio had big hits with his albums It Takes a Thief, Gangsta’s Paradise, and My Soul in the middle to late 1990s.

Before he became a rapper, he went to Compton Community College and worked at places like the Los Angeles International Airport and as a volunteer firefighter.

He was also known for writing the opening song “Aw, Here It Goes!” for the Nickelodeon show Kenan & Kel, which aired in 1996.

Since 1996, Coolio has put out albums on his own. He also became a chef and started a web series called “Cookin’ with Coolio.” He also put out a cookbook. Ivey first got known when he was in the Gangsta rap group WC and the Maad Circle with WC and Crazy Toones, WC’s brother.

In 1996, he married Josefa Salinas, but they split up in 2000.

Grtis Ivey, Brandi Ivey, Artisha Ivey, Shayne Ivey, Milan Ivey, Jackie Ivey, Darius Ivey, Kate Ivey, Artis Ivey III, and Zhaneand Ivey are his children who are still alive.
