Cris Cyborg rules out a comeback to the UFC because “they don't have any girls to fight.”
Cris Cyborg has indicated that a return to the UFC is unlikely due to a lack of competition at 145 pounds in the company.
The current Bellator featherweight champion is Cyborg. ‘Justino’ disclosed a few months ago that her contract with the company only had one or two battles left. She’ll be back in action at Bellator 279 this weekend.
When asked by ESPN MMA’s Marc Raimondi in a recent interview whether she intends to return to the UFC, Cyborg said:
“You know the reality is they don’t have girls to fight. You know, if it is in the 145 you want to do. One of the problems, not just that Dana White is a problem, they don’t have girls to fight. In reality, they don’t have a division for 145lbs.”

Cyborg is a former featherweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. The Brazilian went on to win six of her seven fights inside the octagon after making her UFC debut at UFC 198. Holly Holm and Yana Kunitskaya were two of her most famous victories.

Cris Cyborg returns at Bellator 279 to fight Arlene Blencowe
In the main event of Bellator 279 this weekend, Cyborg will face Arlene Blencowe in a rematch. In 2020, the two fought at Bellator 249, with the Brazilian winning by second-round submission.
Cris Cyborg is now on a five-fight winning streak, with four of those victories coming in Bellator MMA. In November 2021, the 36-year-old knocked out Sinead Kavanagh in her last fight. She has won every bout she has fought in the promotion.
Arlene Blencowe is presently 15-8 in her professional career. The 39-year-old is coming off of a two-fight winning streak. Her most recent defeat came at the hands of the current champion. However, against a dominating champion like Cyborg, it would take something extraordinary from the Australian to win this weekend.
