Amauri Noelle Coleman, 14, and Jason Coleman, 8, were adopted by Cora Jakes Coleman and her ex-husband Richard Coleman.
On June 4, 2011, Cora and Richard exchanged vows in a private ceremony at the Jakes family residence.
Following Cora’s early diagnosis of infertility at age 22, the couple decided to adopt.
She was motivated by the circumstance to start a blog called “Fertility Faith,” through which she helps young ladies struggling with infertility.

Up until January 2022, when Cora filed for divorce from her husband, she and her family were content.
Cora serves as the Destiny House Children’s Ministry’s associate pastor. The Potter’s House of Dallas is a branch of the ministry with more than 30,000 members and more than 50 evangelical ministries.
She is a well-known author and speaker with a drive to help wounded people.
