Charles Siebert Obituary – Charles Siebert was an actor and television director from the United States.

Siebert is most known for playing Dr. Stanley Riverside II on the television show Trapper John, M.D., which he played from 1979 until 1986.

Siebert occasionally worked as an actor, but after 1986, he focused on working as an episodic television director for episodes like Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, among others.

Siebert made his Broadway debut in Bertolt Brecht’s Life of Galileo in 1967, then played Michael Leon in John Sebastian and Murray Schisgal’s 1968 musical Jimmy Shine, which starred Dustin Hoffman.

Siebert’s other Broadway appearances include Maureen Stapleton in Neil Simon’s The Gingerbread Lady, David Storey’s The Changing Room, David Rabe’s Sticks and Bones, and Elizabeth Ashley, Fred Gwynne, and Keir Dullea in the 1974 revival of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Xena, Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Silk Stalkings, Renegade, Pacific Blue, and Vanishing Son, as well as episodes of Knots Landing, The Pretender, Lifestories, Palace Guard, and Jack’s Place, were all directed by Siebert.

Siebert died on May 1, 2022, in Santa Rosa, California, at the age of 84.
