Candidates for the 2021 UTME must register by Tuesday, according to JAMB
Candidates who have been cleared to complete their registration for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) should attend specific centers by Tuesday, June 15, 2021, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Only candidates who have not completed their registration within the previously set term for registration should seek help.
On Monday, June 14, 2021, JAMB’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made the call on behalf of the examination board in a statement.

Only those whose names were collated after providing reasons for the incomplete registration process and who had been contacted are expected to visit the centers, according to Benjamin.
“On May 15, the registration period for the 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) was extended at the end of the period initially scheduled.
Another two weeks, which ended on May 29, were allowed to accommodate candidates who were unable to register due to problems with the newly established prerequisite of a National Identification Number (NIN). A two-week extension was granted to produce a list of all prospective candidates who were unable to register for any reason.
Candidates who have not yet registered but have obtained profile codes and begun the registration process are expected to visit specially designated registration centers on Tuesday, June 15 to finish their registration.
From 12 noon on Monday, June 14, each candidate’s designated registration center will be forwarded to them by GSM text (SMS) messages and will also be available on the Board’s website (www.jamb.gov.ng). The candidates’ registration centers were assigned to them based on the identifying number on each form they were given.
Only those who have obtained their profile codes are expected to attend the centers. The names of those who have not yet received their NIN or profile numbers have also been forwarded to NIMC, and they will be informed as soon as NIMC has cleared them.
Each candidate assigned to a non-JAMB-owned CBT center is required to pay a N1,000 registration fee to that CBT center, according to Benjamin.

It will be recalled that JAMB rescheduled the UTME exam, which was originally scheduled to take place between June 5 and June 19, to June 19 to July 3 in order to accommodate candidates who were unable to register for the exam due to issues with the newly introduced prerequisite of a National Identification Number (NIN).
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), suggested a second UTME for applicants who had legitimate registration issues a few days ago.
