Brian Bedford QPR Obituary – Queens Park Rangers hero Brian Bedford died on May 18, 2022, at the age of 88, according to the club. “The club is profoundly saddened to learn of Brian Bedford’s passing at the age of 88,” stated a QPR statement.

Bedford began his professional career with Reading before being recruited to Southampton by Ted Bates in July 1955. He only made a few games for Southampton before joining AFC Bournemouth in August 1956.
After scoring 32 goals in 75 games for Bournemouth, Queens Park Rangers boss Alec Stock purchased him for £750 in 1959. In a 2–0 win over Swindon Town, he made his debut. He went on to play 258 league games for Rangers, scoring 161 goals (180 in all competitions).
The striker scored 180 goals in six years with the west Londoners, the second-most in club history.
