A famous clergyman, Apostle Joshua Selman, has received a public apology from Big Brother Naija star Maria Chike after she mistakenly identified him as the “apostle” she was accused of having an affair with.

The reality TV actress asked if the priest was the one she was claimed to have slept with in the comment area of a tweet that was allegedly published by him.

This follows the controversy that ensued in July 2022 when a purported list of female celebrities that controversial clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman, had allegedly slept with was released on social media.

Numerous Nollywood actresses and reality TV personalities were allegedly on the list, including Maria, who hasn’t spoken out about the rumor till now.

Maria respectfully inquired as to whether Apostle Selman was the person they said she was romantically engaged with in response to a tweet made by a spoof account of him in what appeared to be a reaction to the old controversy. Maria apologizes to Apostle Selman

However, realizing that she mistook Apostle Selman for someone else, she deleted her previous tweet and apologized to the clergyman.

“I stand corrected. My apologies to Apostle for getting names mixed up/wrong. Find it in your good heart to forgive my innocent tweet. Remain blessed”. She wrote.
