Elon Musk Political Views

Elon Musk has aired his thoughts on a wide range of topics, from politics to science.

Elon Musk is not clearly political in American politics, and he has donated to candidates from both major parties.

Although his enterprises have received loans from the US government in the past, he supports ideas such as universal basic income and a carbon tax, and opposes some government subsidies.

He has been accused of transphobia on several occasions for mocking the use of pronouns.

Musk is also a vocal opponent of short-selling. In the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential primary, he endorsed Andrew Yang.

Musk has expressed concern about artificial intelligence and climate change, among other topics. He has also spoken out against COVID-19 lockdowns.

Musk has defined himself as “half Democrat, half Republican” and “somewhere in the middle, socially liberal and fiscally conservative” in terms of politics.

He declared in 2018 that he was “not a conservative.” “I’m a registered independent [and] a centrist on the political spectrum.”

Musk has expressed support for a universal basic income, prompted by the rise of artificial intelligence; he also supports direct democracy, and has claimed that he believes the government on Mars would be a direct democracy.
