Michael Scott Moser, better known as Cactus, was born on May 3, 1957, in Montrose, Colorado, United States.

He is a multi-instrumentalist, drummer, vocalist, composer, and producer.

Cactus is a three-time Modern Drummer readers poll winner, four-time Country Music Association winner, and three-time Grammy candidate.

Moser, 64, has been a member of the very successful, Grammy-nominated band Highway 101 for more than 20 years.

Wynonna Judd and Cactus Moser got engaged on December 24, 2011.

The couple married on June 10, 2012, at her home in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee.

Cactus lost his left leg on August 18, 2012, in a horrific motorcycle accident a few months after their wedding.

However, he continues to work as a musician and record producer in the studio, and on the road.

Cactus is currently the musical director producer and drummer for Wynonna and the Big Noise.
