Transfer News: Neymar Confirms Departure From PSG And Reveals New Club
Neymar Completes Move from PSG to Al Hilal with €90 Million Transfer Fee
On Tuesday, Neymar finalized his transition from Paris Saint-Germain to Al Hilal, with both clubs mutually agreeing to a transfer fee of €90 million for the Brazilian star.
In a video revealing his signing, Neymar stated, “I’m here in Saudi Arabia. I’m Hilali.”
Neymar will be joining forces with recent teammates Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, and Sergej Milinković-Savić, who all made their transitions to Al Hilal earlier in the summer.
Al Hilal is one of four clubs, including Al Nassr, Al Ahli, and Al Ittihad, that came under the ownership of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund as part of the nation’s “Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project.”

Neymar is rumored to have received a two-year contract offering an expected annual salary of around $100 million, which would be roughly half of the reported salary received by Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
Al Hilal described Neymar as “a marvelous talent… who attracts the attention of everyone” in their social media announcement.
At the age of 31, Neymar initially joined PSG in 2017 when the club, owned by Qatar Sports Investments, secured his services with a still-world-record transfer fee of €222 million to lure him from Barcelona.
During his time with the Paris club, Neymar amassed 118 goals in 173 appearances and achieved numerous trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles. However, his tenure was marred by mounting frustrations from fans as the club fell short of winning the UEFA Champions League.
