‘Lucifer’ Drops a Major Bombshell for Deckerstar (RECAP)
[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Lucifer Season 6, Episode 4 “Pin the Tail on the Daddy.”]
Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) jokes, “I can’t wait to see the repeat on Jerry Springer,” while Lucifer (Tom Ellis) hunts for answers after an angel claims to be his daughter and shows up at his penthouse. And to think, she says this before she has heard the whole story.
Following up on the events of “Yabba Dabba Do Me,” Lucifer insists Rory (Brianna Hildebrand) isn’t his daughter (whom he reportedly abandoned before her birth), but there’s something there when he looks into her eyes. Despite this, he refuses to believe it. But, before he and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) begin their new celestial roles, he intends to clear up the mistake.
Rory’s presence is interpreted by his brother Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) as a sign that maybe baby Charlie may grow up to be an angel, and he reminds Lucifer that the timing might actually line up. Even if he loathed the decade (“Who wants to visit the ’90s?”), he did take part in a Super Bowl orgy around 20 years ago. Creed, dial-up, frosted tips.”) All he has to do now is find the women with whom he had intercourse at the time and who had daughters nine months later… with an illustration of an angel (below).
Every time he ticks a name off his list, Lucifer exclaims, “Thank God, I’m not the father.” But it’s while he’s in Seattle, where the woman proposes to him, that Chloe follows him, frightened because the last time he did something like this, he got married in Las Vegas. That’s when he informs her about the girl, but it’s not until they’re on the hunt for the fourth woman on his list’s runaway daughter that he lets slip that she’s an angel… as well as Dan’s (Kevin Alejandro) return to Earth.

Chloe fears he has affections for the fourth woman, but after seeing how worried and scared Lucifer is about the missing girl, she realizes he believes she is his daughter. Whatever happens, she assures, they’ll figure it out together, leaving him to pursue the trail on his own. Before they part ways, he proclaims, “I may not be certain of much right now, but one thing is certain: I have never loved anyone the way I love you, Chloe Decker.”
This kid isn’t his daughter; she’s with her biological father, who recognized her right away when he peered into her eyes. That’s when Lucifer learns the angel is his daughter, but he has no idea where to look for her. However, as a ghost, Dan has learnt that only angels and devils can see or hear (and Maze enjoys teasing him by pretending she can’t), it’s critical to make the most of the time you have with your children before it all fades away.
He acknowledges that not being able to hold Chloe and their daughter was worse than Hell. Dan now understands why Lucifer had not previously brought him up to Earth. (As for Dan’s future, he’ll have to figure out what guilt is holding him from moving on; Lucifer can’t fly him back to Hell or take him to Heaven now that he’s on Earth.)
But where has Rory vanished to? She goes to see Chloe and greets her with a hug and a “Hi, Mom.” “Mom?” Chloe is taken aback. Is it true that Lucifer and Chloe have a child?
