Conversational AI, on the other hand, refers to the AI technology that allows computers to converse. That is, it refers to a wide range of artificial intelligence technologies that allow computers to “intelligently” converse with us.
What is the difference between a chatbots and conversational AI?
Conversational AI is concerned with the tools and programming that allow a machine to duplicate and carry out human conversational experiences, whereas a chatbot is software that can (but usually does not) use conversational AI. It is the program that communicates with the users.
Conversational AI is used to power chatbots. Not all chatbots use conversational AI.
