MoCheddah details how her hit song “Won be ri” came to be (Video)

Nigerian singer and rapper,MoCheddahis spilling all the juicy details behind the birth of her hitsong“Won be ri”.

The singer, who is now married and has a child, was featured as a guest on Teymesan’s podcast. During the interview, Teymesan asked Mo about her first hit song, and she responded by mentioning “Won be ri.” Mo’Cheddah proceeded to explain how the song was created. She revealed that she had just gained admission to the University at the age of 16, right after completing her secondary education in September and starting at the University of Lagos in the following month. Despite being busy with her studies, her label did not want her to start singing yet since she was still being developed. However, while working on a song, Saucekid needed a hook, and the original singer was unavailable at the time. As a result, they gave Mo’Cheddah a chance to record the hook so that Saucekid would have something to record on. Saucekid was impressed with her voice in the song, and that’s how Mo’Cheddah got her first hit song.
