Bianca Andreescu is a professional tennis player from Canada.
Andreescu began playing tennis in her parents’ native Romania before returning to her birthplace of Canada.
As a junior, Andreescu won the Orange Bowl and two Grand Slam doubles titles with compatriot Carson Branstine on his way to a career-high junior ranking of No. 3 in the world.
Andreescu is the highest-ranked Canadian in the Women’s Tennis Association’s history, with a career high of No. 4 in the world (WTA).
Andreescu won both the US Open and the Canadian Open in 2019, defeating Serena Williams in both tournaments.
Andreescu is the first Canadian tennis player to win a Grand Slam singles championship, as well as the first in 50 years to win the Canadian Open.
Since MariaSharapova in 2006, Andreescu was the first adolescent to win a Grand Slam singles title.

Explaining her habit of meditation, Andreescu said;
“I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is I meditate.”
“I think it really helps me get a good jump-start to the day.”
