Angela Scoular died on April 11, 2011, from deadly burns to her digestive tract and skin after drinking acid drain cleaner and pouring it on her body. She was arrested for drunk driving just weeks before she died.

Angela Scoular starred as Buttercup in the comedy Casino Royale and then as Ruby in the Eon Productions Bond film series On Her Majesty’s Secret Service two years later.

Angela Scoular suffered from depression as well as anorexia nervosa. In 1992, she tried suicide. In March 2009, she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Angela Scoular was eventually cancer-free, but she feared it would return in the months leading up to her death.
