Mickey Rourke was one of those actors who had a rollercoaster career in their early stages of breakthrough. After he had issues with acting, Mickey decided to switch to his boxing passion in 1991. His boxing career was solidified with eight matches undefeated (six wins and two draws), however, it did not come with consequences.

Mickey Rourke used to be one of Hollywood’s most handsome actors before boxing injuries and surgeries. At the 1971 Florida Golden Gloves, Mickey Rourke suffered a concussion in a boxing match and had temporarily retired.

However, Mickey went back to the ring as a second attempt to redeem himself, despite warnings to desist from boxing. He was injured more severely compared to the first time. Mickey Rourke also suffered from a few broken ribs, a compressed cheekbone and a split tongue. Additionally, he suffered temporary memory loss.

Mickey Rourke finally retired from boxing again in 1994. However, as a result of the boxing injuries, Mickey has been undergoing reconstructive surgery on the face which did not go well for him as he is now unrecognizable. His face is now in a near permanently paralysed state from constant Botox.
