Erling Haaland is a Norwegian striker who plays for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga and for the Norwegian national team.

Erling Haaland is a prolific goalscorer who is regarded as one of the best attackers in football due to his speed, athleticism, and finishing ability.

Erling Haaland began his professional career with his local club Bryne in 2016, then transferred to Molde the following year, where he spent two seasons until joining Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019.

Erling Haaland was the first adolescent to score in five straight UEFA Champions League matches during the 2019–20 season, winning two Austrian Bundesliga titles and one Austrian Cup with Salzburg.

Erling Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund in December 2019 for a reported fee of €20 million. He was instrumental in Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal victory, won the Bundesliga Player of the Season award, and finished as the Champions League’s top scorer.

Why did Haaland change his name?

Unknown to most people is that Erling Haaland’s original name is Erling Håland but he changed his name to Erling Haaland to sound more anglicized and better for sponsorship / marketing opportunities.

Is Erling Haaland going to City?

On 18th April 2022, football journalist noted for his correct sources in the transfer market Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester City have agreed terms over a deal for Erling Haaland that would make the Norwegian the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
