Cause of Death: Vachik Mangassarian
Vachik Mangassarian, a well-known Hollywood actor, died of Covid 19-related complications at the age of 78.
At the time of his death, Vachik Mangassarian’s resume listed dozens of TV credits.
The character actor was most recognized for his performance on the Marvel TV show as Qasim Zaghlul.
He also appeared in a number of films, including The Fall Guy, The A-Team, Sledge Hammer!, Murder, She Wrote, Murphy Brown, Falcon Crest, Jake and the Fatman, and NYPD Blue.

Mangassarian was of Armenian ancestry and maintained strong links to his roots throughout his life. He received appreciation for his role as the father of an Iranian lady sentenced to death by stoning on bogus allegations in the 2008 film The Stoning of Soraya M.
Vachik Mangassarian was born in Iran in 1943 and immigrated to the United States in the mid 1960s. He was working in theater at the time. He traveled between the United States and Iran, and in the 1970s, he scored his first Hollywood part in The South’s Shark.
Linda Lalaian and Elda Hacopian, as well as their spouses, survive the late actor. His nephews Derek and Ara Hacopian, as well as his niece Aida Hacopian, survive him.
