Patricia Maynard: Who Is Dennis Waterman’s Ex-Wife?
Patricia Maynard is an actress from the United Kingdom. She is most known for her work on television and in the theater.
Maynard was actor Dennis Waterman’s second wife. Hannah Waterman, an actress, is one of their two daughters. Maynard is now married to Jeremy Griggs, a South West England circuit judge.
Patricia Maynard was born in Sheffield and raised in Tooting Bec, South London. She attended school in Battersea, just down the road from the Old Vic, where she developed an interest in Shakespeare. She received her education at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
She spent her first five years in rep and the theatre. One of her first stage appearances was in Trevor Peacock’s play Collapse of a Stout Party, and she also performed in The Philanderer in Manchester in 1965.

She joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1966, the same year as Trevor Nunn and Terry Hands, with roles as Katharine in Ian Holm’s Henry V and Castiza in Revengers’ Tragedy.
Blithe Spirit, Comedy of Errors, Venice Preserved (with Alan Bates, Bernard Hepton, and Alan Webb), Dennis Potter’s Vote, Vote, Vote for Nigel Barton, and Julian Slade’s musical adaptation of Nancy Mitford’s book The Pursuit of Love were among her plays at the Bristol Old Vic from 1967 to 1969.
In 1982, she came back to Bristol to play Lady India in Anouilh’s Ring Around the Moon.
