Kim wore another Marilyn Monroe gown after the Met Gala carpet had cleared and the fashionable festivities had ended.
In case you missed it, the celebrity walked the Met Gala carpet in Marilyn Monroe’s famed sheer gown. She eventually changed into a copy because the original dress, which she wore in 1962, was far too valuable to be worn for a whole night.
The 60-year-old gown was created for Monroe, who famously sang “Happy Birthday” to then-President John F. Kennedy in 1962 while wearing it.
Ripley’s Believe it or Not! loaned the gown to Kardashian after purchasing it for a whopping $4.8 million at an auction in 2016.

Kardashian wrote in a post on her verified Instagram account at the time, “I am very honored to be wearing the famous dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 to sing ‘Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy.”
