Sean Casten Daughter Cause Of Death – According to a brief note sent on Twitter by his office on Monday night, Gwen Casten, the 17-year-old daughter of Illinois Rep. Sean Casten, died on Monday, June 13 2022.

“The Casten family wishes for privacy at this time, and we will make no more statements,” the message continued. Casten’s office did not reveal the cause of Gwen’s death.

Gwen had just finished filming a campaign ad in support of her father’s third term in Congress.

She hailed turning 18 as a “great year” consisting of “plenty of milestones,” including “voting for the first time,” in a video posted earlier this month. “However, this is not for everyone.”

In the video, Gwen also backed her father’s efforts to impose additional gun laws and defend abortion rights.

Gwen was also a co-director of the Illinois chapter of March For Our Lives, a youth-led movement dedicated to ending gun violence.

Casten is a Democrat who represents Illinois’ 6th Congressional District. He became the district’s first Democrat in nearly 50 years when he was elected in 2018.
