Matt Zimmerman, a retired Canadian actor best remembered for his role as Alan Tracy in the 1960s television series Thunderbirds, passed away on June 22, 2022, at the age of 87.
In a Twitter message, Morgan Jeffery confirmed the awful news, writing: It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Matt Zimmerman, the voice of Thunderbirds’ Alan Tracy, at the age of 87.”

Because David Holliday suggested him to creators Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, Matt was cast as Alan Tracy in Thunderbirds. “They were having enormous issues casting the character of Alan Tracy because they wanted a certain voice for him,” he said in an interview about his experience.
Matt, in addition to Alan, voiced a number of minor characters. In The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, he played Shooty. T-Bag, Mike, Angelo, Crazy Like a Fox, and Never the Twain are among the other TV shows, as are countless advertising, most notably for Wrangler Jeans.
