Mpho Moerane was the mayor of Johannesburg from October to November 2021. He was a South African electrician, businessman, and politician. He was born outside of Johannesburg, in the Alexandra township.

Mpho was nominated to the mayoral committee responsible for environment and infrastructure services after African Makhubo was elected mayor of Johannesburg in December 2019.

Mpho Moerane attended Minerva High School, he completed a course in electrical engineering and obtained a project management certificate. Moerane then worked for Eskom until 2006, when he became a businessman.
